Americanism. The Holomorphic Solution to the Political Schism That is Threatening to Tear America Apart

I drafted a letter to the GOP leadership, which I will send if they respond to my short message on their web page, to explain how to lead the country to the holomorphic solution, the solution that will restore wholeness to our country. I explain the recipe for a new Republican platform, which I hear they are writing, and how to make it work.

 I say “recipe” here, although I didn’t use that word in their letter, because I just remembered as I started writing this how well it works as a metaphor. It is, in principle, the same recipe as that used for making spirits, like moonshine. Metaphorically speaking, the people are the solution (and in the solution, the water and sugars called “wort” that brewers feed to the yeast). They are fermenting in a box and the temperature is rising throughout the country and the world. Heat is generated by non-conservative forces, which in physics is friction and resistance. As a result, the Spirit of Truth or quality of Truthfulness, which is the same, in principle, in any system that is self-sustaining, especially people, but also a self-governing society. It is the principle, in fact the first-order principle, that makes everything in the universe work. Truthfulness (some call it the Holy Spirit, but I just call it undifferentiated light of Truth) is a quality of and spirit within truthful people, and that is rising to the top.

As a result of the increased temperature, we are seeing more and more people stepping “up” to the plate, who are full of Truth. All our leaders need to do now is to step out of the box, even if they don’t step up and lead this transformation, and remember that the original mission and vision that our founders started was a stable, holomorphic state that would form and function at the federal level. I wish they had given it the name Americanism back then. We all need a metaphysical form, like a mental structure made out of principles that we can grasp and proclaim that we are part of. The Statue of Liberty, along with all the monuments to the founders and patriots, filled that role for a while, but they are physical. Over the years and in the process of growth, they lost their “hyperlink,” if you will, to the metaphysical meaning.

By the way, meaning is purely metaphysical because it is the same, in principle, as truthfulness and will “float away” if it is not captured or firmly linked to physical objects. It is information that has to be in-formed or objectified in order for us to work with it. Once objectified, it has both form and function. That was accomplished in the form of our Constitution. It had physical form and metaphysical function. And that is why the Republican party formed. Their function was to learn and understand the information about the structure and democratic process.

Disagreement is a fundamental part of the process because the primary purpose of the process is to analyze information and distill the truth out of it. People say that the purpose of the federal government is, as stated in the Constitution, “to establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity,” but they often forget the first and most important words… “to form a more perfect union.” Every person is a unit; every state is a union; the federal government as a whole, is the “more perfect union.” That means it is a holomorphic state that is formed by the holomorphic process.

What happens if a single system separates into two systems? They both have to run as separate units and it is much more difficult for them to inform each other, which is necessary in order to in-form into a whole. It happened to the U.S. in 1828 when Martin Van Buren built the coalition of state organizations that formed a new party as a vehicle to elect our 7th president, Andrew Jackson. The number seven is a critical number in the holomorphic process because it corresponds to the first half of the fourth cycle or “turning”: 2 halves x 3 cycles = 6. The 7th would have started the 4th cycle (where the first half is projection) for the whole, but they split and had to start over at the first-order principle. The Democrat party effectively objectified or in-formed the functional aspect of Americanism, which is the quality of democracy or the democratic process, and turned it into (imagine spinning a metaphysical ball of truthfulness) a separate living virtual object.

That significantly delayed holomorphosis of the whole of America. After the 7th half cycle (a projection in the 4th cycle) comes the reflection, which would have immediately transformed the whole into a new and better version of its former self. It would have been a more truthful (truth-full) and powerful (True Power as opposed to reactive power or apparent power) that would have allowed them to find real, holomorphic, win/win solutions to their problems. I submit (as a truth in principle to reflect on) that they could have solved the problems that led to the Civil War. Imagine how truly powerful we would be now if that war never happened. And it was all because they didn’t understand the fundamental principles of how the United States became united and how the same principles will allow it to form a more perfect union as a democratic Republic. Notice how form (Republic) follows function (democratic) in the sentence.

“Form follows function,” is a famous maxim coined by architect Louis Sullivan (1856–1924). It was considered to be a principle that the shape of a building or object should directly relate to its intended function or purpose. However, it is only true for systems that are so fixed, so conservative that they cannot adapt. It was later realized that function also follows form in nature. It is a give-and-take process that helps to make the whole greater than the sum of the parts.

When “function follows form” as in a Republican democracy, as a reflection of democratic Republic, it means (and I ask any Democrats who might be reading this not to react until you read the whole paragraph) that our democracy as a whole is truly Republican, as in the Republican party is the only party that reflects Americanism, and that the Democrat party needs to disband, in principle. In reality, the Republican party needs to make a quantum leap of faith in Truth itself and rename itself the American party, so that Independents and former members of the democratic party can reflect on that, rather than the baggage that the old party brings to their minds. When that happens, the country can reintegrate.

Getting recentered on Truth itself is the holomorphic solution.

It is that “greater truth” that allows a bunch of very different people gravitate together in a conservative force field and morph into a whole. In fact, the greater truth actually makes it happen (in mysterious ways) if it is not resisted by outside, non-conservative forces. In physics, gravity is a conservative force field; it comes from the principle of conservatism, which is also where the law of conservation of energy derives from. Both are centered on Truth itself.

If you have been following me, you know that there is nothing magical going on here. A holomorphic solution is a solution, or correct answer, to a holomorphic function (or mathematical equation). In several of the books I have been working on, especially in the book “Introduction to Holomorphic Engineering,” which I still haven’t published due to non-conservative forces in my own life, I explain this in detail and model it. Any system that works in automatic, can be modelled as a basic, self-controlled, closed-loop feedback system, and that (the functional block diagram) can be mathematically modelled with a holomorphic function. The math is beyond most people, so I try to use systems that people are likely to be familiar with, that they can relate to and understand because they all use the same process. So, they are all the same–in principle. Get it?

Holomorphic just means that it is analytical – it has one or many solutions, nodes, modes or stable states that the system can operate in. Any system that is cyclic in nature, like a self-sustaining harmonic oscillator, regardless of whether it is a quantum particle, an electronic oscillator, and mechanical system, or the orbit of the moon around the earth, as a system, it has an energy state, a natural frequency, a.k.a. its resonant frequency. I call that a state it reaches at holomorphosis. I could also say that holomorphosis is the transformation it experiences when it reaches that state.

Complex systems with multiple subsystems reach and experience holomorphosis when all of the subsystems resonate together in harmony. If you have followed this line of reasoning so far, and have a truthful mind, I suspect you already see the truth in this and know that this is the holomorphic solution that this article is referring to. Now is a good time to insert the draft letter that I plan to send the GOP leaders. It is a synopsis of another document that I want to send that goes even deeper and breaches the subject of rebranding as Americanism. I figure I should take it one step at a time.

My letter to the GOP leaders

Dear (whoever responds to my message),

My name is Dr. Theodore St. John. I am retired, living on my pension and disability check, pretty much unknown and very happy. I am part of the silent majority and was formerly part of the silent service (a nuclear submarine officer). I retired in 2014 as a Commander (O5) from the U. S. Navy Medical Service Corps, 35 years after I enlisted in 1979 as a Seaman Recruit (E1).

I am writing to you to offer what is a unique perspective on the meaning of fundamental principles, because I hope you can use it as part of, and as a guide for writing, the new Republican platform. I found out that the platform is being rewritten and (I heard at a recent Republican convention that I attended) that Eric Trump wants to make it highly focused on fundamental principles. I believe that this is my chance, and perhaps my last chance, to serve my country again.

BLUF (Bottom line up front):

  1. Make the platform short and to the point so people like me, (who didn’t want to think about politics before all of the insanity started threatening our existence) can and should be encouraged to read it and get a firm grip on what is vitally important to life itself and the life of our country. For that reason, it is what the party stands for.
  2. Structure it like a Mission/Vision/Guiding Principles statement sort of like the ones we use in the Navy (and other branches of the military). I say “sort of” because I recommend putting the Guiding Principles right up front, starting with the most fundamental, first principle that states “Truth is true; that is self-evident. It should also be self-evident to anyone that Truth itself is the only thing that is true.
  3. State that being truthful is the first prerequisite for being a True American. Explain, perhaps some in the Preamble, and hyperlinked to another document about principles themselves. It is critical for the system to work that everyone understands the supreme role of truth and the fundamental role it plays in our founding principles.
    1. Fundamental principles are self-evident truths that cannot be stated any simpler or reduced any further. They are “first-order principles,” often called “first principles.” Not only are they self-evident, they cannot and will not ever change. Truth is true (period) – in principle, and in reality. They are the fundamental principles that give our platform its roots both in principle and in reality. That is why it is not an ideology and can be achieved in reality.
    1. “Truth itself” is an abstract that is true only in principle because it is infinite and eternal. As an absolute, it is ideal and not something that can be said to exist in reality. But it can be strived for. Like a theory that we know to be true in principle, but we have to work for it. It is the basis, however, for all other principles and could be called “zeroth-order” or the “undifferentiated light of truth,” but it is what some people call “God.”
    1. Unfortunately, and sometimes tragically, attempts to communicate truth using that name, or other names for God, are in vain because the name itself captures or collapses it (the concept of the infinite) into something finite, which is already not true. So it misses the point of truth and becomes meaningless; it is not full of truth and not truthful. If the name of God is used in the platform, as it has been in the past, it must be clear, as a first principle, that it is meant to mean “Truth itself” as the zeroth-order principle.
    1. The first principle would be stated as a sentence like “true statements are true” or “truths are true statements.” Either way, the sentence as a whole is true. That means it is reversable, obviously true in principle no matter how you look at it, which is the first prerequisite for a sentence to qualify as a first principle. However, the sentences are not symmetrical in reality (in structure) because the subject is a noun (objectified form) and the predicate contains a verb and a modifier that functions to qualify the subject. To-be-true is a functional qualification and it should be clearly stated in the platform that being truthful is the first prerequisite qualification for being a True American.
  4. Explain that all other principles are second-order. They should be self-evident to anyone with a truthful mind, but they might assume, without even stating it or offering proof, that the first principle has been satisfied. (“Thy will be done.” But don’t need to say that.) It’s like there is an unwritten part that says, “if-and-only-if the assumption, which this self-evident truth is based on, is also true.” For example, to hold this truth to be self-evident – “that all men are created equal” assumes that all men are created. If that is true, and the reader can see that, then the fact that they are equal is self-evident. It does not assume that women are not equal because in truth, gender identity is just a meaningless distractor and has no place in the discussion.
  5. Newton’s first law is an example in physics, and this explanation, which is part of a book I am working on and would proudly donate to the cause, can be linked-to rather than spelled out in the platform. It is a fundamental principle in physics and it explicitly reveals the assumption that it is based on. It says “an object in motion will remain in motion unless acted on by an external force.” The first-principle-part of that is that an object in motion will stay in motion. That part is true all by itself if you assume that the rest is true via negativa, i.e., by stating the double negative; you assume that the object is not acted on by an external force that does not keep it moving.
    1. Being in motion is “being” or existing-in-a-state-of-balance. That means everything that is not in an unstable state, everything from unstable elements that are decaying radioactively, to unstable people that are physically or mentally unstable and therefore decaying.  
    1. Notice that the principles of physics can be used, and I submit, should be used, as a direct parallel to guide human behavior, to motivate them to come together as one-in-being with Truth itself. This is my motivator – the primary reason that I have been working on this for many years and need for it to be introduced at this high level, as part of (via hyperlink) the new platform.
  6. All other principles that we use as bases for statements in the platform and elsewhere, are second or higher-order principles. They serve as the foundations for belief-systems, behaviors and chains of reasoning. They are truths that we can “hold up” by the assumption that they satisfy the first principle. That is why we say “hold” in the statement, “we hold these truths to be self-evident.”
  7. The bottom line is this: Everything in the platform, as in the Constitution and Declaration of Independence assumes that we are truthful people. It is guaranteed to fail if we are not.
