A New Movement
Sometimes I think I should apologize for being so slow about developing my website, building my platform and publishing my manuscripts. I know in my heart that the world is rapidly approaching a critical point, where society as we know it is very likely to self-destruct, and I feel a little guilty because I know that I have found a solution, the holomorphic process, but haven’t done a great job at sharing it. I desperately want to share it but I have so much information in my mind and so many different ways to present it that I feel overwhelmed and I’m not sure how best to proceed. I’ve been wanting to start a movement, and have even named it “Operation Holomorphosis,” but since it is so important to get it right, I know that I need to present a strategic plan as well as providing specific tactics for individuals to follow.
My conscience tells me, and has been telling me for many years, that I am not supposed to be the leader of the movement because what is happening to my society is happening all over the world and I am no fully qualified to lead it. Everyone has their own role and mine is not to found a worldwide transformation movement like I imagined. So I have been taking one day at a time, continuing to read and write, to talk to anyone who will listen, to post what I write in various places, like here, but also on Medium, Quora, Facebook, etc., and often just to reflect on it and file it away.
Then a few days ago, I came across something called The World Transformation Movement (WTM) at http://humancondition.com. The WTM “is a global not-for-profit movement dedicated to bringing transforming biological understanding to the underlying problem in all human affairs of the human condition.” After watching “THE Interview” and a series of other videos, I read several of the publications they provide. As a result, I am becoming more and more convinced that the WTM is what I had envisioned. It looks a lot like what I thought I could create it when I discovered the holomorphic process, with some important exceptions. My education and experience in physics, electrical and nuclear engineering, and medical physics had prepared me to present my solution in terms of a process via the systems approach, which is what I have been trying to do, but Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith presented it as “the breakthrough biological explanation of the human condition,” which seems to me to be a much better starting point for most people, since most people don’t know how to think in terms of physics or engineering.
The way I had pictured it, I would convince a group of “holomorphic engineers (physicists, yes, but also people who have that type of intellect, as well as less geeky and more practical engineers) to read about and learn what I have to teach about the holomorphic process. I would convince them that it is important for them to understand the holomorphic process from the first principles and then develop as many ways as possible to express the process in terms of other types of systems and processes that most people would be familiar with. But at the same time, or perhaps even before that, I felt that I needed to express and emphasize the tremendous importance of what is happening.
I have said in many of my writings that there is something incredibly amazing happening to the collective consciousness of America, and perhaps the whole world, but I guess I never realized just how much has actually been happening. I didn’t realize how much people who have not already reach the point of awakening (I refuse to use the term woke up) were suffering due to their inability to escape the old mechanistic paradigms or how urgent it is for them to find the breakthrough that they needed in order to understand what is happening to them and to others.
Griffith, and the WTM seems to be more in touch with people than I am or have ever been. He hooked up with other people many years ago and they have helped him build his platform and start this organization so that now, there are quite a few WTM centers popping up all around the world. I would like to start one down here in South Louisiana, but I do not want to do it alone. However, they have provided plenty of information on other ways to get involved, at https://www.humancondition.com/how-to-help/. They also posted numerous publications that are all provided free of charge at https://www.humancondition.com/publications/. One of them is his enormous 2016 book FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition, which what the WTM is based on.
About the World Transformation Movement
To start with, Jeremy identifies a condition that we all have as humans, aptly called “the human condition,” as something of a mental health condition that needs to be cured. In one of the publications (sorry, I can’t find where I copied this from) the author explains:
Key to Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition is an understanding of the difference between our instincts and intellect, and the effect that difference has had on our behaviour. He explains that when we humans developed a conscious mind some two million years ago, a battle unavoidably developed between it and our already established instincts. Natural selection of genes gives species’ instinctive orientations, such as to a migratory flight path for birds, but a nerve-based conscious mind needs understanding to operate, so when a fully conscious mind emerges and begins experimenting in understanding it unavoidably comes into conflict with the already established instinctive orientations that are in effect intolerant of these deviating experiments in self-management.
The result of this conflict between our instinct and intellect was an undeserved sense of guilt and insecurity that caused us to become psychologically defensive, angry, alienated and egocentric, the upset state we refer to as the human condition—a state we sought to alleviate through a competitive, selfish and aggressive bid for the reinforcement we could gain from winning power, fame, fortune and glory. But now that we can explain and understand this conflict and the guilt it produced, all those insecure, defensive behaviours are obsoleted, brought to an end, and we free ourselves from the human condition.
Connecting to the WTM
So I wrote the following in the comment block:
I am ecstatic to have found this WT movement, and I love the way Jeremy explains it as the solution to the human condition. I discovered the same thing in 1992 during an OBE in which I (like Adam Stork) met my conscious self, and recognized the apparent separation between it and my primordial self. My conscious self had a sense that it (or “I” in a spiritual form) was projected out into outer space, facing outward away from a central point, toward the darkness of the unknown. Then, because of my burning desire to know truth, I felt that I was being turned around. As I turned, I saw a brilliant circle of light, surrounding a crystal sphere. I basked in the light in a state of bliss, but then I started to think again. My thought was that I wanted to go into the light. I could sense that it was my “home” i.e. my true self. It contained the truth about who and what I was, not what I had become, and I wanted to go “back” and reintegrate with it. But instead of going to it, a spark of light shot out from the horizon. It soared through space and seemed to enter my heart. It told me I could never go back, because that was my primordial state. Instead, it came to me. I knew immediately that I needed to be my true self, but in its current state, and to reintegrate “it” into my new phase of life. Then I felt myself “falling” back into my body, but also knew it was a forward movement. With that, I understood the human condition, just as Jeremy described. I was a new, improved version of my former self. That was nearly 32 years ago. It gave me the basis to live the way I have lived and my life has been wonderful. I’m 63 and I never faced any crises, because I accepted everything as part of the challenge – to find ways to help others understand this as a “holomorphic process”. Jeremy’s description of the human condition is the best explanation I have found, but I have developed a systems-model that may help avoid the deaf effect. It is at holomorphicprocess.com.
Reply from WTM
I received the following reply from WTM, Mr. Damon:
Dear Theodore,
Thank you very much for telling us a little about your OBE experience and your developing movement ‘Operation Holomorphosis’. We’re very pleased that Jeremy Griffith’s biological explanation of the human condition is resonating with you and we appreciate you taking the time to contact us.
The WTM is a not-for-profit organisation in its very early pioneering stages and unfortunately we are just not in a position to collaborate on other projects at this point. We maintain that only by bringing biological understanding to the underlying problem in all human affairs of the human condition can we solve the crises humanity faces and bring about the transformation the world needs and all of our resources are committed to establishing mainstream support for this very important breakthrough.
As THE Interview explains, while various thinkers, both ancient and contemporary, have recognised the instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition, what was missing from their analysis was the ability to explain why a conflict between these elements occurred. Without the clarifying explanation the conflict could not be resolved. It is this clarifying explanation that is unique about Jeremy’s work, and why it is so critically important. You may be interested in FAQ 1.13 and Freedom Essay 4 which elaborates on other thinkers who have recognised the instinct and intellect elements involved in creating the human condition.
It is great you have watched THE Interview and The Great Transformation I can see you’ve joined our mailing list and our Facebook Group too. We do wish you all the very best with your movement, Theodore, and hope you understand our position in terms of not being able to collaborate with you.
With our very best wishes,
Damon
He didn’t even approve my comment so you won’t see it if you go to the site. So I replied to his email.
My response
Dear Damon,
Please read and forward this email to Jeremy to read for himself. As a biologist, he may be the only one who can really appreciate the importance of what I have to share.
Thank you for the quick response to my comments. To be honest, I was a bit shocked to receive a rejection letter from an organization that is all about reintegrating the world. I’m not sure what I wrote that made you think I was asking to “collaborate” on my project, but that was not my intent. What I want is to contribute the benefits of my extensive education, training and experience in this area. I can send you my resume if you like, but my highest degrees are an MS in physics and a PhD in nuclear engineering, specialized in medical physics.
I realize that it must have been a monumental task to get WTM organized and established as well as it is and I’m sure you need to limit any additions to the information you include in your program. It was not my intention to add to it as much as to supplement it with a firm bases in physics. The fact that I have developed a systems-model and that it might help others avoid the deaf effect was just a small sample of what I have to offer.
As I continued to read Jeremy’s work, I began to see something significant that is lacking in his thesis that makes it less palatable to people who are educated in science and experienced in research. What Prosen pointed out (in para 31) is no surprise, “that not only has Jeremy’s work been treated as heretical by mechanistic science because he dares to look at the real ‘psychological’ nature of the human condition, it has also been resisted because of the two reasons referred to in the ruling by the aforementioned three judges of the New South Wales Court of Appeal.” He said that Jeremy, “puts forward a wide-ranging, induction-derived synthesis, a ‘grand narrative explanation’… an approach, incidentally, that led to both Darwin’s and Jeremy’s work being very wrongly criticized by some for not presenting ‘new data’ and a ‘testable hypothesis’, and even as ‘not being science at all’!”
The problem
The problem, as I see it, stems from the fact that the explanation doesn’t start with first principles as Jeremy claims. I will explain this below, and how my holomorphic process model will serve to remedy that.
So rather than a collaboration, I was thinking of a complementary cooperative relationship, in which I could refer to WTM as a sort of “parent organization” that I am working under. Regardless of whether or not it is affiliated with WTM, my work is part of the same world transformation movement and I desperately want to make it happen. I hope that Operation Holomorphosis will become another grassroots movement but since I have been utterly alone in my efforts, I doubt that there is any chance it will ever turn into a movement as well established as WTM. I would really like to say that my work is part or an affiliate of the WTM, to link our websites together, and to reference each other. As I will explain, the holomorphic process is a seed, which presents as the same biological process that led to the point where Jeremy’s theory takes off. And I really think it will help the WTM establish stronger footing in the scientific community.
First principles
Jeremy said several times that his explanation was based on first principles, and though I searched through the book, “Freedom,” I could not find anywhere that he identified the principles he was talking about. I will explain this and how my work does that. So, as I said, rather than asking for a collaboration, I am offering a complementary cooperative relationship.
According to what I had read so far, Jeremy’s theory starts his “grand narrative explanation” with the assertion that consciousness exists and somehow, without explanation, separates into two different and conflicting aspects. In the reading you referred me to, he explained how other great thinkers had approached the problem and said that what they were all missing was “the critical redeeming explanation of what it actually is about – the distinction between the conscious and the subconscious mind”. Again, he said, “There had to be a scientific, first-principle-based, biological reason for our divisive behaviour and finding it had become a matter of great urgency.” I would wager that any scientist worth their salt would agree that his starting point does not qualify as a first principle. This is the first thing that the WTM is missing.
There is an important difference between a principle in general and a first principle. In general, a principle is a fundamental truth that serves as the foundation for a system of beliefs or behavior, or a chain of reasoning. So technically, it is fair for someone who knows from personal experience that their conscious mind splits, to say that Jeremy’s theory is based on a principle, or perhaps an axiom, which is a statement that is taken to be true. But a first principle also called an a priori truth by Descartes and used in physics (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_principle) is self-evident (e.g. “truth is that which is true”) to anyone regardless of their knowledge or experience, and that is critically important for a topic like this. One of the conditions of first principles is that “they must be so clear and evident that the human mind, when it attentively considers them, cannot doubt their truth.” Being self-evident is critically important because it cannot be denied by anyone who looks at it. And they see the truth without having to look at their own conscience.
Anyone whose conscious mind has never reflected on truth or whose “shadow mind” refuses to turn around and looked at the light of truth (that I will explain is, in essence, their true self) has no reason to accept the idea expressed as Adam Stork’s “newly acquired conscious mind.” And they would have no reason to “take the trouble to grapple with” the rest of Jeremy’s books, which so many of your readers have said was extremely hard to do. They are likely to continue living in denial and unknowingly suffer from the deaf effect. Where Jeremy starts, with the turning of the conscious mind, may be how to turn the key to understanding, but it is not the key itself. As a biologist, I’m sure Jeremy would agree that biology is all about systems, which have multiple complex chemical parts that work together. We say that we can understand and describe how they work – in principle. That means we reduce the parts and their relationships to the absolute minimum, just at the brink of where they won’t have “the ability to work” (which is the definition of energy) if we reduce them any further. That would be called a “state,” which is like a first principle, but at the second order. It is not really self-evident because you have to understand the symbiotic relationships between the parts.
Likewise, the holomorphic process (expressed as separation, projection, reflection and reintegration) is presented as a “state of mind,” but [in the process] the “reflection” is self-evident to the “projection” as being a reflection of itself. The same model is actually used in physics as a representation of the principle of balance known as the law of conservation of energy (LoCoE), and can be used with the conventional mechanistic paradigms as well as quantum mechanics to represent a quantum unit of energy. It starts with energy itself as being undifferentiated, and our intellect (not our instinct) can easily differentiate it conceptually into static (potential, objective) and dynamic (kinetic, subjective) forms. It is self-evident to us (a static form) whether it (our body or other static forms) is stationary or moving [relative to a separate reference point. Notice that having a separate reference point implies that in this fragmented physical form, we are already “in the process,” i.e. the holomorphic process, in the projection phase.]
I then apply the LoCoE to information-modulated energy (which could be any form of communication) and explain communication as information that is projected. If that information does not reflect the truth, it is still a projection that might be received by others. It might be bolstered by other truths, and “stick” to them, if they “swallow” it. It acts like an information virus and can be spread like an epidemic, (cf “The Tipping Point” by Malcolm Gladwell) but it can never stand on its own. If, on the other hand, it is a reflection of truth, it is self-evident (the critical point that seeds self-awareness) and actually uses undifferentiated energy (the higgs field) to form an actual reflection of itself. In other words, it can reproduce itself just like a living organism (as opposed to replicating by stealing from other living truths). [To say that a living truth can reproduce itself means that it can be used as a first principle – to serve as the foundation for a system of beliefs or behavior, or a chain of reasoning.]
In my book, which I hope to publish eventually, but I am trying to publish parts in peer-reviewed journals, I actually substantiate this process-model by relating it to how the standard model of particle physics is orientated, (to use the word from where Jeremy says the instinctive mind is orientated), starting with undifferentiated energy (the higgs field), and moving to bosons and then to fermions (quarks and leptons). It (the process) uses both the projection and its reflection to form a self-sustaining pattern of information-modulated energy, which is the part that I model as a simple self-sustaining closed-loop feedback system, to in-form (or enfold the information into the form of) the quantum particles.
As applied to the human body-mind system, I propose that these in-form the actual “script” that orientates and forms as genetic material. I have found and reference research by, among others, cognitive scientist Stephen Grossberg based on a process called the Adaptive Resonance Theory (ART) that can be used as data to help prove this hypothesis. In effect, every true event that we experience, which is everything except untruths that only humans can create with words, gets written in our DNA. One event completes the holomorphic process: separation, projection, reflection and reintegration and forms what is known in Process Philosophy as an “event particle.” Those particles form a pattern of information-modulated energy (the light of truth) that would correlate with our core conscience.
All of these event-particles form and in-form the genes and chromosomes that participate in mitosis, which proceeds exactly like the holomorphic process, and they become reintegrated into the whole. That whole is the physical aspect of what we call the instinctive mind. Since it already has a reflection in truth, it resonates and as resonating energy, it participates in the holomorphic process. It literally separates from the core, projects as electromagnetic waves (as explained by biologist J McFadden in “The Conscious Electromagnetic Information (Cemi) Field Theory”) and that projection forms an image. It appears as holographic fringes on the inside surface of a virtual sphere of knowledge. It is self-evident to the instinctive mind, which shines as the light of truth, and like a laser focus, it brings it out as a holographic projection.
The problem with the holographic projection is that it faces outward, so it actually has to turn around and face the truth, to face inward in order to see its source, which as I said, is the light of truth. If it does, if it turns and reflects repeatedly, which is “the way” of the holomorphic process, it transforms into the self-conscious mind. However, if it refuses to turn to reflect on the truth, any untruth that it has accumulated during the current cycle, which could be a person’s entire lifetime, forms “artifacts” (as opposed to facts). They block the light and form the shadow image as an empty silhouette in the inner surface of the sphere of knowledge. Then, in order to transform, empty form has to turn and face the truth, which is hard for it to do because it lacks energy. If it succeeds, that “kills” the shadow, simply because it illuminates it. That is when a being actually achieves self-consciousness. And that is what finally brings us to the first step in Jeremy’s theory, where “Adam Stork” inexplicably acquired “his newly acquired conscious mind.” It is only the conscious mind that can eventually gain its freedom.
Freedom
When people initially experience the ecstasy associated with the transformation of consciousness, they usually burst with enthusiasm, like I did in 1992 and most people do after their first “rebirth experience,” which many associate with their religion. It is extremely liberating, which means it encourages liberal (dynamic, non-conservative) thinking, whereas the “correct way” of understanding the whole concept is held together by conservative forces, like church dogma. That is why you, Damon, rejected the idea of collaborating with any other projects. WTM needs to focus on the program and preserve (or conserve) it as it is now and not how it can be improved.
Being part of a church or the WTM is great for a Newbie, and it can provide a stable “mother organization” that will support them and that they can support. As such, the organization becomes holomorphic – a self-sustaining, self-organizing closed-loop feedback system. But without the self-evident nature of the first principle to shine as a light at its entrance, and regardless of what Jeremy or WTM members say about it not being a religion, it will surely be seen by “outsiders” as just another church. (And I read in the “Persecution of the WTM…” that this already happened.) The good book, “Freedom” will be considered its bible and WTM will be considered a cult or religion, just like what happened to Scientology [which is also heavily criticized as being pseudoscience]. Its good book is “Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health.” Jeremy talks about living in this new state of consciousness, which is wonderful at first, but I can assure you that the “high” does not last as long as one might hope or expect. Does Jeremy address this in any of his books? I do.
How to maintain “The High State”
Life continues and follows the holomorphic process, which clearly predicts four phases when we understand and consciously participate in the process. The phases are what I call the Awakening, the High, the Challenge and the Unwinding. In my book, I correlate these phases with the four eras in the continuous cycle explained by Strauss and Howe in their book, “The Fourth Turning,” but I reorientate them. They label [and orient] them as Crisis, High, Awakening and Unraveling. Every historical society that they present has repeated these phases and they assert that the cycle is unbreakable. However, I recognized that if we treat the Crisis as a Challenge and accept that challenge after an Awakening, while we feel the High, as mentioned above, that in itself reverses the direction of the cycle. Compare the two lists above and start both at the Awakening. [You should notice how the cycle is just reversed.] Then we just need to make ourselves rest at the end of each day – to experience the Unwinding phase – and sleep for a while. That leads us to the next Awakening. [Once you have done this enough to conquer the major challenges in your life, you will begin to feel high on life and be able to maintain “The High State”.]
So how does WTM address the challenge that a member faces when the thrill is gone? In para
1161, Jeremy says,
We can immediately know that we are all fundamentally good and not bad, and this knowledge puts each of us in a very powerful position because it means we can legitimately decide not to think about and live in accordance with the upset within us. We can reason that, ‘Yes, I do have all these angry, egocentric and alienated feelings and thoughts, and I know that without undergoing a great deal of psychological therapy I can’t hope to heal all the underlying upset that is producing these feelings and thoughts. But I also know that way of feeling and thinking is now obsoleted, so I’m simply going to leave that way of feeling and thinking behind me and adopt the new way of feeling and thinking that is now available where I live in support of a reconciled, non-aggressive, non-competitive, truth-based new world for humans!’
The classic mistake
He talks about adopting a different attitude in para 1162 and says it may be difficult, but “we humans are quite capable of being what we are not.” That, I submit, can be interpreted as advice to ignore the truth, like being a believer when we know we are not [or we know that we don’t fully understand what we claim to believe]. It is a classic mistake and it is the reason Christianity is failing. Furthermore, having an explanation for why we are messed up and then thinking we can just choose not to do it is not effective. As Jeremy put it, this requires “logic [to] prevent ourselves behaving in an upset way by redirecting all our thoughts and energies to supporting the new human-condition-understood, reconciled world.” That is exactly what is done in Christianity, only the logic is that Jesus saved us from original sin so we should [just believe it and] support the church. Neither of these have ever helped me. [However, I trusted the truth and believed that truth would set me free, as Jesus taught and that is what I called “faith.” It grew my conscious core to the point of holomorphosis, where my projection turned and turned into a living reflection of truth called my Conscience.]
The living Conscience
The holomorphic process shows explicitly how our attitude, which is also called a direction, can simply be pointed in the right direction, the direction [in the cycle] that leads to holomorphosis. By using the steps in the holomorphic process as a guide, [one can] orientate one’s routines in life, as most people do in their daily routine, [and they] will slowly and steadily grow their conscience into a more “real” conscious being (that we realize). Like Pinocchio becoming a real boy, it doesn’t happen immediately. We have to live a true life being true to ourselves at every turn. When the next holomorphosis does eventually happen, at some critical point in their lives (when they reach the next higher level of maturity), they can actually identify with and turn into or transform into that more-conscious being. Children turn into more conscious adults, adults turn into elders and elders turn into disembodied, fully conscious beings of light. The theory also predicts conscious life after physical death if the core reaches a critical point of stability. [Spiritual holomorphosis is obviously the ultimate goal of the holomorphic process.]
People must understand that it is a continuous process. And they can learn to follow it by first following it at the basic level. It is the daily routine: they naturally wake up (the Awakening, feeling great or high once they have gotten into it and allowed the process to work on them), accept the challenges they must face during the day [and overcome the major challenges in their lives]. They separate from home, project into the world, reflect on their home and reintegrate themselves and their “boon” with their family. Once home, they finally unwind, rest and sleep in preparation for the next day. [So notice that the basic holomorphic process (separation, projection, reflection, reunification) presents as a subprocess within a higher-level routine (Awakening, High, Challenge and Unwinding)]. Then they can learn to recognize it playing out in all sorts of different areas in life, which I will go into in my book, “Holomorphosis and the Hologenetic Universe.”
So there you have it. These are the kinds of things I would add as complementary information to support the WTM.
Yours truly,

Update:
I received a response from Damon, at the WTM. I pasted it below, but first let me say, I stand corrected about my comments concerning first principles. He pointed out that in section 4:2 of the book, FREEDOM, which is about the development of order of matter on Earth, Jeremy does in fact refer to the second law of thermodynamics (about how heat always flows from hot to cold), which does indeed fit the description of a first principle. I was very happy to see that and I even learned that my big focus on the closed-loop feedback system model might be misleading, since as Jeremy explained, entropy always increases in any “real” closed system. I emphasize “real” because real systems always have non-conservative forces that generate heat, which must be released in order for living systems to maintain their order. That is an excellent point that I have failed to mention in my previous work. So thank you Damon and Jeremy.
By the way, he didn’t say anything about what I called the classic mistake. I’ll write him back again and ask about it, while I continue to read FREEDOM. Then let you know what he says.

Dear Theodore,
Thank you very much for your response and suggestion to forward your email to Jeremy Griffith. Jeremy receives an overwhelming amount of emails and different requests from people and in the past he has always tried to respond but now his work load is such that it is just physically impossible for him to reply, so I hope you don’t mind me responding.
Firstly, please accept my sincere apologies if what I sent came across as a rejection – that wasn’t the intent at all. We are thrilled that Jeremy’s explanation of the human condition is resonating with you and are impressed with your credentials and achievements. It’s just, that as I mentioned, being a small, self-sufficient organisation (funded by donations) with an immensely difficult pioneering task, it means our resources of volunteer staff and time are very limited, so unfortunately we are not in a position to receive, properly evaluate or endorse people’s initiatives. But to assist this early stage we have created a number of extremely comprehensive, freely available, books, essays and FAQs covering every aspect of Jeremy’s holistic-not-mechanistic, human-condition-confronting-not-avoiding treatise on the human condition. These can all be easily searched electronically at http://www.humancondition.com.
For example, we haven’t the resources to do a close analysis of your generous email, but at a glance the suggestion that ‘first-principles’ refers to the split between conscious and sub-conscious mind is not correct. As chapter 4:2 of Jeremy’s definitive book FREEDOM explains, the first principles upon which his explanation rests are time, space, and energy, which when subjected to the laws of physics, particularly the law of Negative Entropy, led to matter becoming integrated, which over time led to the development of DNA, instincts and eventually consciousness – and then the problems that arose out of that development. So what Jeremy Griffith is presenting is completely accountable; there is no faith or belief involved, it’s all logic-driven and allows for truly independent and free thinking for the first time.
With regard to collaboration, again I apologise, I assumed when you said that you would like to connect your movement with the WTM that is what you were suggesting.
You can certainly reproduce any of the WTM’s presentations on your website, Theodore. We just ask that you read Section 2 of our How to Help page, and our Terms of Use regarding how to attribute it correctly.
